METHOD OF PROTECTING A METAL PIPE PENETRATING FLOOR ACCORDING TO ETA-17/1062
1 - metal pipe with a diameter D ≤ 273 mm pipe wall thickness t from 6.0 to 14.2 mm
2 - PiroCoat I, length L ≥ 500 mm, thickness g2 ≥ 1.2 mm
3 - PiroCoat I, length s1 ≥ 50 mm, thickness g1 ≥ 0.6 mm
4 - the space between the pipe insulation and the PiroCoat I seal; thickness u ≤ 5 mm
5 - construction details of a mixed penetration seal
6 - rigid floor with a density of min. 1700 kg/m3 and thickness B ≥ 150 mm
Technical drawing 1
Fill the hole in the wall with
mineral wool boards on both
sides with a minimum density
of 150 kg/m3 and a minimum
thickness of 50 mm.
Steps 1 - 5
By using a putty knife, apply
a 1.2 mm thick layer of PiroCoat A on mineral wool.
By using a brush, apply
PiroCoat I on the partition in
such a way that a ring with a
minimum width of 50 mm and
a minimum thickness of
0.6 mm is created. Apply
PiroCoat I on the pipe for a
length of min. 500 mm and a
thickness of min. 1.2 mm.
The protection of mineral
wool filling the partition and
pipes should be made on both
sides of the partition, both in
the wall and in the floor.
Mark the completed penetration seal with the label. Mark PiroCoat A and PiroCoat I on it, enter the date and the name.
