METHOD OF PROTECTING A METAL PIPE PENETRATING WALL AND FLOOR  ACCORDING TO ETA-17/1062

1 - flexible wall with a thickness of min. 100 mm
2 - metal pipe, diameter "D" and pipe wall thickness "t"
3 - PiroCoat I, dimensions: length L = min. 500 mm, thickness s1 = min.
     1.2 mm, paste additionally used for length g1 = min. 5 mm, inside the partition
4 - the space between the pipe and the partition structure,
     max. a = 30 mm, filled with mineral wool with a density of min. 50 kg/m3
5 - gypsum mortar with a thickness of min. g1 = 5 mm

     density of min. 50 kg/m3 or with cement mortar, width max. u = 30 mm

2 - metal pipe, diameter "D" and pipe wall thickness "t"
3 - PiroCoat I (pipe cover), thickness g1 = min. 1.2 mm and min. 500 mm
4 - PiroCoat I (ring on the floor around the penetration seal),
thickness g2 = min. 0.6 mm; length e = min. 60 mm
5 - the space between the pipe and the partition structure filled with cement
mortar thickness u = max. 15 mm

Fill the space between the
pipe and the partition tightly.
Use mineral wool with a density of min. 60 kg/m3 or cement mortar.

Steps 1 - 5

By using a brush, apply PiroCoat I on the partition in such a way that a ring with a width of min. 50mm and a minimum thickness of 0.6 mm is created.

Apply PiroCoat I on the pipe
so that a ring with a width of
min. 500 mm and a thickness
of min. 1.2 mm is created.

The protection should be done
on both sides of the partition,
both in wall and floor.

Mark the completed penetration seal with the label. Mark PiroCoat I on it, enter the date and the  name.
