Designed to protect air ducts in case of fire.

Stainless steel cover.

With special places for strips made of intumescent material.

As a result of a reaction to high temperature intumescent material fills gaps in grille and
closes the flow of air.

Up to EI 90
Environment class: Z2
Ventilation grilles should be stored in a dry place with the temperature ranging from +5°C to +30°C for no longer than 12 months.

Description & use

KRS 70 intumescent ventilation grilles are an innovative solution that provides fire protection for safe evacuation.
The grilles are made of steel sheet and equipped with intumescent graphite inserts that react to high
temperatures, which, in case of fire, fill the gaps between the partitions in the grille, blocking the spread of fire and
hot gases and insulating them thermally. Thanks to this technology, the grilles are an effective fire barrier,
providing maximum fire resistance in the class up to EI 90.
The modular design of KRS 70 grilles allows them to be combined in any configuration, which makes it possible to
fit various, even unusual shapes of ventilation openings. Integrated connecting elements facilitate quick
installation, while the steel housing and grilles provide an aesthetic finish. KRS 70 grilles are designed for use in
gravity and mechanical ventilation ducts, as well as in other fire partitions, such as fire separation walls or
fire-resistance doors.
During normal use, the grilles allow free air circulation, and in fire situations they effectively prevent the flow of
fire and hot gases. This is a reliable solution to ensure safety in any building.
PiroGrill KRS70 is intended for:
• Fire protection of ventilation systems and air ducts
• Fire protection of ventilation systems through doors and walls where it is required to achieve appropriate fire resistance of the partition
• Fire protection of smoke control and odor removal systems that may be exposed to fire

Grilles are also
meant to be
placed in
apertures in plasterboards.
