Product description and specifications:

Piro MULTITUBE PM is intended for making penetration seals in walls or ceilings for flammable pipes or non-flammable pipes, insulated with synthetic FEF foam, as well as flammable pipes insulated with mineral wool. It is also used to seal cable bundles that pass through ceilings or walls. Piro MULTITUBE PM is a rolled up tape, which under the influence of fire intumesces and becomes a fireproof band. Unrolled and cut off to the required length, it provides adequate fire protection. The effective work of Piro MULTITUBE PM is the result of a mixture of polymers and fillers from which the tape is made.

Piro MULTITUBE PM is available in the following types:

60 mm x 2,5 mm, 60 mm x 4 mm, 100 mm x 4,8 mm

  • Fire resistance class: do EI 120 C/U, U/C, C/C

  • Color: dark graphite

  • Environment class: Z1, Z2

  • Storage temperature range: from +5°C  to +30°C

  • Shelf life: no limit, the recommended period is not longer than 24 months

  • Package:  60 mm x 2,5 mm - 30 m roll, 60 mm x 4 mm - 30 m roll, 

                                100 mm x 4,8 mm - 30 m roll, 100 mm x 4,8 mm - 5 m (in a box)

Read from the table in the  catalog the correct length of Piro Multitube PM for a given pipe diameter, measure it and cut with a knife.

Wrap the cut piece of tape off the pipe. Keep strictly to the number of wraps given in the ETA or catalog.

Secure the tape with a cable tie and slide the whole thing inside the wall.

Fill the space between the pipe and the wall with cement mortar.

Mark the penetration with the attached label, mark Piro Multitube PM on it, enter the date and name.

Remove the insulation, wrap the cut piece of tape off the pipe. Keep strictly to the number of wraps given in the ETA or catalog.

Secure the tape with a cable tie and slide the whole thing inside the wall.

Put insulation on the pipe in such a way that it covers the sealed tape.

Fill the remaining space with mineral wool. Protect the wall and pipe cover with PiroCoat A as shown in figure 2 in the document ETA – 17/1062.
