Product description and specifications:

PiroCoating is designed for fire protection of cables, cable trays, support structures for fire partitions or installation penetrations in public and industrial facilities.

PiroCoating is a one-component intumescent paint, which is an aqueous dispersion of synthetic resin. The coating made of this mass intumesces  under the influence of high temperature in fire conditions, forming on the protected surface a foamed, fireproof thermal insulation layer. 

  • Fire resistance class: up EI 120

  • Reaction to fire: Bfl-s1; B-s2,d0

  • Color: creamy-white

  • Density: 1,56 ± 5% g/cm³

  • Environment class: Z1, Z2

  • Storage temperature range: from +5°C  to +30°C

  • Shelf life: 10 months in the original sealed bucket

  • Theoretical amount of mass needed (kg/m²): 1 mm thick coating 1,93 kg/m²

  • Oxygen index: ≥45

  • Package: bucket- 3 kg, cartridge 310 ml

Fill the space between the cable and the partition tightly. Use mineral wool with a density of min. 50 kg/m³ or cement mortar.

By using a brush, apply PiroCoating to the partition so that a ring with a minimum width of 50 mm and a minimum thickness of 0.6 mm is created.

Apply PiroCoating to the cable so that a ring with a minimum width of 300 mm and a minimum thickness of 1.2 mm is created.

Mark the penetration with the attached label, mark PiroCoating on it, enter the date and name.

Fill the hole in the wall from two sides with mineral wool with a minimum density of 50 kg/m³ and a maximum thickness of 40 mm.

By using a brush, apply a thick 0.6 mm layer of PiroCoating to the wool over minimum length of 50 mm from cable route.

Apply the layer of PiroCoating to cables and cable route with a brush with a minimum thickness of 1.2 mm over the length of minimum 300 mm from the partition.

Mark the penetration with the attached label, mark PiroCoating on it, enter the date and name.

The way of protecting cable bundles penetrating floor or fire wall

(protection should be done on both sides).

Fill the space between the beam and the partition tightly. Use mineral wool with a density of min. 50 kg/m³ or cement mortar.

By using a brush, apply PiroCoating to the partition so that a ring with a minimum width of 50 mm and a minimum thickness of 0.6 mm is created.

Apply PiroCoating to the cables so that a ring with a minimum width of 300 mm and a minimum thickness of 1.2 mm is created.
