Product description and specifications:

PiroCoat I is designed for fire protection of penetrations of steel, copper and cast iron pipes without insulation or insulated with PE foam through walls and ceilings (with Piro Multitube PM). It can also be used to protect penetrations through walls and ceilings, flammable pipes of small diameters, stabilized with glass or aluminum.

PiroCoat I is a one-component intumescent paste, which is an aqueous dispersion of synthetic resin. The coating made of this mass intumesces  under the influence of high temperature in fire conditions, forming on the protected surface a foamed, fireproof thermal insulation layer.

  • Fire resistance class: up to EI 120

  • Reaction to fire: Bfl-s1; B-s2,d0

  • Density: 1,56 ± 5% g/cm³

The way of protecting metal pipes without insulation penetrating  floor or wall

(protection should be done on both sides).

Application examples:

 

Fill the space between the pipe insulation and the partition tightly. Use mineral wool with a density of min. 60 kg/m³ or cement mortar.

By using a brush, apply PiroCoat I to the partition to form a ring with a minimum width of 50 mm and a minimum thickness of 0.6 mm.

Apply PiroCoat I to the pipe so that a ring is formed with a minimum width of 500 mm and a minimum thickness of 1.2 mm.

Mark the penetration with the attached label, mark PiroCoat I on it, enter the date and name.

The way of protecting flammable pipes with diameters up to 40 mm in walls and fire ceilings 

(protection should be done on both sides).

Apply PiroCoat I by using a putty knife to the wool and make a ring around the pipe, minimum thick 4 mm , minimum width 15 mm.

Mark the penetration with the attached label, mark PiroCoat I on it, enter the date and name.

The same solution can be used for various types of flammable pipes stabilized with glass, aluminum or without stabilization

Fill the space between the pipe and the partition with mineral wool with a minimum density of 50kg/m³, leaving 5 mm of space from the front of the partition.

The way of protecting mixed penetrations of pipes and cables in walls and fire ceilings 

(protection should be done on both sides).

Cut the appropriate length of Piro Multitube PM and wrap it on the pipe insulation.

Protect the tape with an electric band and put the whole thing inside the partition.

Fill the space between the cover and the partition with mineral wool with a density of min. 50 kg/m³.

Fill the remaining space with cement mortar.

Apply 500 mm of PiroCoat I to the pipe so that a 1.2 mm thick coating is formed.

Put the pipe cover on the PiroCoat I pipe.

Mark the penetration with the attached label, mark Piro Multitube PM and PiroCoat I on it, enter the date and name.
